When the founder of Nutura<\/em> was pregnant for the first time, she was bedridden for weeks. She searched desperately for information about pregnancy in Mauritius (which clinics, which practitioners, what was safe to eat, what to pack in her hospital bag, where to find a doula, what postpartum actually looked and felt like)\u00a0 and found almost nothing that was made for her.<\/p>

The information that existed was written for mothers in the UK or the US. It assumed services, products, and systems that do not exist in Mauritius. It was not wrong, but it was not hers.<\/p>

Nutura<\/em> was built to change that. Every page on this platform is written for Mauritius \u2014 for the heat, for the clinics, for the food, for the culture, for the reality of navigating motherhood on this island without always knowing where to turn.<\/p>
